Brand Concept

FLOUZ is a brand born in Hong Kong in 2015 with the theme of utilizing and expressing the idea of “harmony” of Japanese culture in various everyday scenes.

Through its core products of bags and apparel, FLOUZ aims to create everlasting value with the harmony of the people with whom it interacts in the never-ending course of time. The concept of FLOUZ is as if a series of small streams eventually flow into a large river, and the “和” = “wa” = “harmony” of people’s small stories will lead to a larger single “和み”=”Nagomi”=”peaceful’ relationship.

The brand name “Flouz” comes from the image of “floe” (floating ice), which shows its presence slowly but powerfully, and “flow” (flowing water), in which time flows gently like a river.

Like the river flows to the sea.

Our brand name reflects our desire to be with you in your daily life and to always be connected to you.

Creator’s thought

It has been 22 years since I moved to Hong Kong in 2002. I have been doing my best to produce fashion bags for Japanese trading companies and specialty stores as an OEM in Chinese factories. Thanks to your support, we have been able to develop a somewhat substantial business in the bag category.

In 2015, we launched FLOUZ, but for a while we were busy with our main business, and soon after, due to the effects of the new coronavirus, we were not able to grow the brand.

However, this year, as the worldwide corona restrictions began to settle down, my own “passion” for the brand rapidly grew. I wanted to express in my own way the wonder of the traditional Japanese culture in which I was born and raised, and give form to it under the FLOUZ brand.

Flows to you. The heart of Japanese ‘wa’

Our manufacturing framework has also started a new apparel business in earnest from 2022. Over the past year, we have strengthened not only our production bases but also our connections with fabric and material suppliers, enabling us to respond to all kinds of requests from our clients in a variety of ways.

Fortunately, here in Hong Kong, people have a strong interest in and affection for Japanese culture. With this in mind, FLOUZ will transmit to the world the possibilities of the SOUL OF JAPAN, ‘wa’ – the spirit of harmony – from the international hub city of Hong Kong, focusing first on manufacturing business.
